Green Energy

You all have seen the disaster of nuclear power stations in Japan right? So how can we prevent the same thing from happening again? The answer comes from our biggest friend NATURE. Like using wind and solar.

When the wind blows onto the wind turbines, the rotors only spin about 18 RPM, not fast right? So in the rectangular like thing at the back of the rotor, the rotor is connected to a series of gears that multiplies the speed of the rotor 50 times, so the generator spins about 1800 RPM giving us allot of electricity.

Solar energy is using the power of the sun and converting it into electricity, so how does it work? There are two ways of capturing the power of the sun. The first one is using photovoltaic devices like solar cells, they change the sun's energy into electricity. A few of these solar cells can be use to make solar panels that can be placed on houses, calculators, headphones and on large empty fields that have direct energy from the sun. the second one is by capturing the sun's heat by using solarthermolelectric power plants generated electricity by concentrating the sun's heat boil water produce steam, the steam then spins a set of turbines to produce electricity.

So that's part 1 of my post of green energy see you soon!
